It is
informative to know where raid medals come from. It can aid in making decisions
about what upgrades to the Clan Capital are prioritized.
The first
place I read to get an overview was at Fandom (an excellent source of Clash of
Clans info). This
page, under “Rewards” gives a brief, but useful, overview.
But a post
on Reddit gives details on how to calculate it, and it produces the same
numbers I see in my raid logs. This gives me confidence that it is correct.
The bottom
line is that all raid medals are awarded by destroying District and Capital
Halls.
There are
two key tables in that post. The medal count in those tables is awarded to the
clan, and then divided up on a per-attack basis to the clan members.
The first
shows the raid medals gained by destroying an enemy district.
